Well shucks, thanks for the warm reception everyone. I was up late pickin and grinnin. I will leave it alone for a few months but I'll keep my eye out for parts that might enhance this old gal. The bit of info I was able to find on line about these leads me to strongly suspect that this axe is an LP-2500. The prehistoric agiles don't exactly match the specs on the sheet. Now what does a 2 piece maple neck consist of? Is the neck built of two pieces of wood glued together down the middle? I can't see any joint on this neck at all and the grain is continuous. I'm a bit baffled as to what these 2 piece maple necks are on the AL-2500s.
