Welcome, nice guitar! :bigthumb:

Although I am new here myself in days and posts, I have spent much time on the site reading threads. May be a little early to conclude threads don't drift from the original subject here at AGF. There was this one recently about "stolen money" and somebody's "mama" and the next thing you know.........

Remember when 'tight' was a common descriptive word?

That guitar is tight and those photos are tight.

Thanks!

I remember well the term "tight"...it describes a few of the bands I played in back in the day...it described what they were NOT!

I like lots of things about this instrument, but one thing really stands out to me is the ebony fretboard...something I never had on a guitar before this. It almost doesn't look like wood from a short distance. And the neck is fast, too.

I believe to get a new Gibson with an ebony board you need to get a LP Custom and spend thousands of dollars. I think the ebony is a very nice touch on the Agiles.

I agree 100%. Ebony is amazing on a fretboard. When I got my custom 335 I made sure to get ebony, as I think it feels the best to me.

Can we see a shot of the back of your guitar? And could you measure the total length of the guitar? And do you have one of the BROWN cases?

That's a weird guitar (and not in a bad way). I have two Agiles at the moment, both with Floyds. One is a 22-fret guitar that started out looking like this:
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b149/dspellman/IMG_2270.jpg

The guitar's a neck-through that was built with the neck running in a channel that goes through the one-piece body, has a 16" radius, a "wide" neck (at the nut), and it has a full 3/4" figured maple top:
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b149/dspellman/IMG_2297.jpg

The second is an AL-2000 Floyd, which has the 24th fret in about the same position as on yours (near the bottom of the curve of the cutaway, leastways on mine it is):

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b149/dspellman/al2000frtbkgoldhw1.jpg

But the back (neck) is different yet again from a standard LP. It's a true set-neck, but the body and the neck heel are both tilted, and the access to the upper frets is nearly as good as on the AL-3000 type guitar, above:

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b149/dspellman/al2000frtbkgoldhw3.jpg

The thing is, the black one with 24 frets is actually longer than the 22 fret model (the neck is moved up about an inch, along with the bridge and bridge pickups in order to leave the neck pickup where it is normally) and won't fit in my brown case; I had to settle for one of the $10 less-expensive black cases. So I'm curious if your 24-fret guitar is as long as mine and if they're now making the brown cases longer!

And finally, what I *really* want to end up with is one of the new AL-3200's in neck-through, with the much carved away neck heel and the tummy cut, with a solid figured top...and a Floyd and a 24-fret neck.

BTW -- my guitar has since been pretty extensively modified (and a few more minor things were changed since this photo was taken):

The guitar measures 40 1/2" over the strap fitting. And yes, I have the brown "300" Douglas case. The guitar was shipped in it.

Looks like some subtle design changes were made.
